At its Oct. 1 meeting the El Monte Union High School District board approved several consent‑agenda items and contract agreements by recorded votes, most carried 5–0. Items approved included independent contractor agreements to provide psycho‑educational evaluations for special‑education students, a staff training agreement with Generation Wellness, and an online subscription for an adult‑education high‑school‑diploma program.
Trustees also accepted grant number 2002480096 (manufacturing education) for the Al Monte Rosemead Adult School (AMRAS). Trustee Qui Nguyen asked who led the grant effort; trustees credited district staff and named Lisa Tang for coordinating the application. The motions for the listed consent items and contracts passed unanimously in roll calls recorded in the meeting minutes.
