Council asks about traffic‑data retention and police coordination on safety projects

"It's by and large, we follow our retention policies," Talbot said when asked about data retention. She and staff said the city collects vehicle volumes, turn movements and speeds, not identifiable personal information, and that the transportation department coordinates with police on safety work: Commander Steve Morris participates on the comprehensive safety task force and PD has led enforcement and expanded camera efforts.
Council members expressed appreciation for the coordination and asked staff to continue developing the relationship with PD as safety improvements move forward.
