Royse City ISD trustees recognized student and staff achievements during the Oct. 17 meeting.
Thirty-four Royse City High School students were named to the 2024 College Board National Recognition Program and were acknowledged by trustees and administrators. Summers Middle School staff Kelli Johnson received the Texas ASCD Strong Content Area Framework Award and Vicki McCoy received the Texas ASCD Innovative Practices Award; the board recognized both educators for their work.
Board President Scott Muckensturm praised the students and principals during the recognitions; trustees said the acknowledgments reflect the district’s emphasis on leadership and instructional growth.
