The Warren Township Zoning Board of Adjustment granted a use variance to Dainty Den, LLC (BA 26-03) to operate a small retail boutique and short-duration private events at 20 Mount Bethel Road (B 89 Lot 1.01). Attorney Michael Polychronis presented for the applicant; owner Sherri Fishman and planner Alexander Dougherty were sworn. Ms. Fishman described a business model built around 1–2 hour children's parties and boutique retail, with hours planned between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
During questioning Ms. Fishman confirmed that adults could host parties but that "no alcohol would be served or brought in." She also stated the Fire Marshall set an occupancy limit of 49; Ms. Fishman said she intends to limit gatherings to about 20–30 people and that final occupancy will be clarified during permitting. Planner Alexander Dougherty presented site exhibits including a zoning map and floor plan and characterized the use as low-intensity and compatible with surrounding shopping-center businesses.
Board members deliberated and agreed the proposed use presented no substantial detriments. The board approved the application and authorized immediate operation under a Temporary Certificate of Occupancy while the formal resolution is memorialized at the next meeting.
