The board held nominations and votes for its 2026 officers under Bylaw 9,100. Trustee Christy Knight was nominated and elected board president by voice vote; the motion carried 4 to 1. Ryan Williams was elected vice president in a unanimous voice vote (5–0). David Vincent was elected clerk by voice vote (5–0).
"I would just like to start off by saying thank you to my fellow board members for their trust in me, and I look forward to serving as board president for this year," said Christy Knight after being elected. The superintendent then handled the procedural appointments that follow the elections, including appointing the superintendent as executive secretary to the board and selecting a board stenographer.
The elections followed brief public remarks encouraging continuity in a rotating presidency and a statement from community members favoring the long-standing rotation process. The board’s officer elections shift who will preside over meeting conduct and who signs instruments on behalf of the board for the coming year.
