The Eureka City Schools governing board reported out of closed session that it adopted Resolution 25-26-023 and authorized the superintendent or designee to notify eight temporary certificated employees—six teachers and two psychology interns—that they will not be reemployed for the 2026–27 school year.
“In closed session… the board adopted resolution 25 dash 26 dash 0 2 3 and… acted to authorize the district superintendent or designate to notify 8 temporary certificated employees, 6 teachers, and 2 psychology interns that they will not be reemployed for the 20 26, 20 27 school year,” the board stated. The board noted that Trustees Pardo, Johnson, Olivier and Bones voted yes and that no trustees were absent. The action was presented as a compliance step under Education Code section 44954(a)–(b).
