The Woodland Park Board of Education recognized student ambassadors from Beatrice Gilmore (BG) and Memorial schools during its Nov. 18 regular meeting, presenting certificates to fourth‑ and fifth‑grade students selected as positive role models.
BG Principal Ms. Mastropaolo introduced advisors Michelle Herrmann and Veronica Seavy, who described the ambassadors program and the activities ambassadors lead. Dean Douglas said the Memorial program aligns with the New Jersey Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (NJPBIS) framework to reduce disciplinary infractions and improve student outcomes. Student ambassadors from both schools spoke briefly and received certificates.
