Sanger ISD board approves sweep of consent and action items, all motions pass unanimously

Individual action items approved that evening included the March employee sheets (motion: Lisa Cody; second: Mitch Hammonds), approval of the Teacher Incentive Allotment and Compensation Plan for 2026–27 (motion: Staci Moore; second: Lisa Cody), adoption of the Gifted and Talented Handbook for 2026–27 (motion: Jesse Hunter; second: Jarrod Roberts), renewal of the District of Innovation for 2026–27 (motion: Jarrod Roberts; second: Staci Moore), adoption of the 2026–2027 academic calendar (motion: Jesse Hunter; second: Jarrod Roberts), approval of the IXL Learning Program and professional development contract (motion: Lisa Cody; second: Jarrod Roberts), TEKS certification (motion: Bruce Elsey; second: Jesse Hunter), library materials compliance with EFB Local (motion: Mitch Hammonds; second: Bruce Elsey), and the construction procurement method for the 2026 bond projects (motion: Mitch Hammonds; second: Jarrod Roberts). Each action passed unanimously with a 7-0 vote as recorded in the minutes.
The board held a public hearing on the Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR) earlier in the meeting and heard public comment from several individuals before moving to regular business. After an executive session to discuss administrator contracts, the board reconvened and approved contract extensions for district and campus administrators.
