SANDS CISD trustees on July 17 approved consent items that set the district's budget workshop for Aug. 5, 2025, and a meeting to adopt the 2025–26 budget for Aug. 18, 2025. The board also approved setting a tax rate for publication purposes: Maintenance & Operations (M&O) 0.6696 and Interest & Sinking (I&S) 0.26.
The consent motion, moved by Trustee Hunter Shofner and seconded by Robin Barraza, passed by a unanimous vote. The board additionally approved the 2025–2026 appraisal calendar and standing committee rosters during the consent vote.
