The Dixon City Council approved a resolution authorizing the city manager, the finance director, the economic development manager and HDL companies to examine confidential sales and transactions and use tax records as necessary for implementing Measure J. Staff explained that California revenue and taxation law generally prohibits disclosure but allows local officials to use such data for tax administration when authorized.
Council adopted the authorization by roll call vote after the staff presentation; no public comments were received. Staff indicated the authorization is tied directly to implementation tasks with CDTFA and HDL support.
