Council authorizes agreements with state tax agency to implement Measure J
Summary
Following adoption of Measure J, the Dixon City Council approved staff’s recommendation to execute agreements with the Department of Tax and Fee Administration and related implementing documents so the state can process the new sales tax.
After adopting Measure J, the Dixon City Council authorized staff to execute agreements with the Department of Tax and Fee Administration to implement the new sales tax rate. Staff noted those agreements were included as attachments to the agenda packet.
The council approved the implementation authorization by roll call. Staff said the agreements are needed so CDTFA can administer the tax and enable the city to begin collection on the planned start date.
