The SANDS CISD Board of Trustees administered the Oath of Office to trustees Jody Howard and Wes Higgins and immediately completed an internal reorganization of officers at its May 15 regular meeting. Amy Grumbles, business manager and notary public, administered the oaths; President Jody Howard had called the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m.
On procedural motions, the board approved a motion to dissolve the sitting board and then reconstituted leadership. Michael Wigington moved to dissolve the board (seconded by Dustin Gaskins); the motion carried unanimously. Dustin Gaskins then moved to re-elect Jody Howard as President, Robin Barraza as Vice President and Matt Snell as Secretary (seconded by Michael Wigington); that motion also passed unanimously. No contested races or vote tallies against these motions were recorded in the minutes.
