Presenter (S1) told the committee the contract calls for $99,000 in design services and that the project is a 50/50 match with Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF); the city has received a $10,000 contribution so far and has recorded $5,107.15 in design-related costs to date.
"The total design is 99,000 per the contract that was approved on November, 4th of 20 24 with Vireo," Presenter (S1) said. Staff described a kickoff meeting next week, a procurement and advertisement period that meets LWCF rules (three weeks minimum advertising for a general contractor), and a subsequent selection and recommendation to the Board of Aldermen. Committee members said they expect construction to start mid‑to‑late summer if procurement and advertising proceed on schedule, with a roughly six‑month construction window and completion forecast for November–December.
