After executive session Savoy ISD board approves district pay raises and 2% raise for Sam Talley

After returning from executive session the Savoy ISD board approved pay raises for district employees effective in the 2026–2027 school year. The motion to accept the raises was made by Sandy Petree and seconded by Lee Rich; the board recorded a unanimous vote in favor.
The board also separately approved a 2% raise for Sam Talley, on a motion from Mike Bomar and seconded by Drew Saltzman; that motion was recorded as carried. Both actions were announced in open session following a closed deliberation under Texas Government Code §551.074 concerning personnel.
These actions were taken after the board entered executive session at 7:56 p.m. and reconvened at 8:42 p.m.; the meeting adjourned at 8:43 p.m.
