The Selectboard approved a Facility Use Application submitted by the Sharon Old Home Day committee for Saturday, Aug. 8, 2026. Kevin Gish moved and Ted Austin seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
The board also authorized the Town Administrator to sign contracts with a service provider to soft-wash the Old School House and Town Offices and to clean windows, setting a not-to-exceed amount of $3,100 for the Old School House and $2,700 for the Town Offices. Scott Henkels moved to authorize the signature; Kevin Gish seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Why it matters: approving facility use allows community events to proceed and soft-washing and window cleaning are routine maintenance actions that preserve town facilities.
What's next: the Old Home Day committee proceeds with the Aug. 8 event; the Town Administrator will execute the maintenance contracts within the approved limits.
