The Savoy ISD Board amended Policy DED Exhibit (Compensation and Benefits) to set vacation and holidays for 12‑month employees at eight vacation days. The change was approved on a motion by Mike Bomar with Bear Reed seconding; the motion carried with the board’s standard roll call (six yeas, one abstention for conflict).
Separately, the board approved a motion to set the 12‑month contract calendar to allow no fewer than 218 workdays, moved by Drew Saltzman and seconded by Lee Rich; that motion also carried under the same recorded vote. The district did not present a staff compensation impact analysis during the public meeting.
"Motion was made to update Policy DED Exhibit Compensation and Benefits vacations and Holidays to 8 vacation days," the record shows; administration will update policy documentation accordingly.
