SHS Marching Band marks fifth straight UIL state trip; director briefs board

Mark Belding, Santo ISD Band Director, updated the Board of Trustees on the SHS Marching Band’s fall season at the Nov. 21 meeting in Room 101 of the Elementary Building. He told trustees the band earned its fifth consecutive trip to the UIL State Marching Contest and described his hopes for the program’s continued growth.
Belding noted his band aide’s work with the junior high band and invited the drum major to share her perspective at the state meet. The report was given under "Comments from Visitors" and required no board action.
