Library wraps summer programs, offers emergency services day and workshops

Upper St. Clair library staff said summer reading programs end Aug. 13, raffle winners will be announced Aug. 14, and the library is hosting events including an Emergency Services Day on Aug. 7, movie matinees and a belly dance workshop.
Library staff announced that kids summer bingo, teen read, and adult summer reading will end on Thursday, August 13, and raffle winners will be announced on Friday, August 14. "Be sure to visit the library and get your final raffle tickets," staff said, adding that winners will be notified by phone.
The library is hosting several August events: weekly story times and creative-play sessions, Friday movie matinees at 11 a.m., a belly dance workshop for adults on Wednesday, August 5, and an Emergency Services Day on Friday, August 7 in partnership with local first-responder organizations. "The library is partnering with the Upper Saint Clair Police Department, Volunteer Fire Department, and Tri Community South EMS to offer an emergency services day on Friday, August 7," staff said. The library also plans a booth at the Bethel Park Rotary Breakfast Club Farmers Market on Thursday, August 27.
