Groveland adopts Wrike platform to centralize project tracking and reporting

Interim City Manager Tim Maslow and Mark Perry, Deputy Director of Innovation & Technology, presented a newly implemented Wrike project-management platform intended to replace the city's varied spreadsheets and ad hoc tracking. Perry said the platform "was selected for its ease of use, collaborative capabilities, customizable dashboards, scalability, and relatively low implementation cost," and reported the tool already contains more than 100 projects and has been rolled out to department leadership.
Vice Mayor Barbara Gaines pressed for clarity on who would keep project information current; Maslow and Perry said responsibility would rest with each department director and that updates would be integrated into weekly management meetings to establish consistent organizational practices. Council Member Michael Jaycox asked whether Council members could receive automatic notifications and whether Council-requested assignments and public concerns could be routed through the platform; Perry said the software supports customizable push notifications, intake forms and workflows. Staff scheduled one-on-one training for Council members and reported roughly 39 current users with scope to expand.
