Comal County Public Health staff presented a request to approve a license and services agreement with CureMD to implement a cloud-based electronic medical record for the department. The presenter said the procurement took roughly a year and involved coordination with IT, the DA’s office, purchasing and other county staff; the contract will move public-health data to a cloud service and align the department’s records and workflows with current standards.
"This is our electronic medical record for public health," the presenter said, asking the court to approve the contract and authorize the county judge to sign. Commissioners approved the contract on a voice vote and directed staff to proceed with implementation steps.
