At a special Dixon City Council meeting on Dec. 10, the council approved a request by Council member Bogue to participate remotely under the government-code provisions for emergency circumstances. The council reviewed the requested accommodations under Government Code section 54953 and related provisions and took a roll-call vote to permit remote participation; the vote was unanimous.
Council leadership said the participating member was attending to a family medical emergency and that no members of the public were present to comment on the request. After authorizing the remote appearance, the council recessed to closed session. The public record states only that direction was given to staff upon return from closed session; no substantive closed-session action was reported on the record.
