Comal County public health staff told the Commissioners Court that the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) Public Health Emergency Preparedness Cooperative Agreement budget will be fully funded after a recent amendment. The public health representative said they received notice in June that funding might not be fully funded, an amendment was processed last week, and the county received an additional approximately 28% that brings the grant to full funding.
Public health said it will resubmit the budget to reflect the increased funding and requested the court's approval to file the contract renewal application and authorize the public health director to submit. The court approved the application by motion.
