The Seguin ISD Board of Trustees voted Aug. 27 to accept nominations to name the Seguin High School baseball and softball complexes, following Board Policy CW (LOCAL).
Trustee Ms. Duncan moved to accept nominations for the baseball complex; Mrs. Crettenden and Ms. Duncan moved/seconded for the softball complex item. Both motions passed, with the recorded vote showing Ayes: Crettenden, Duncan, Guerra, Jenkins and Mueller; Nay: Amador on each item. The board noted both complexes were not previously district facilities and the naming process will proceed under district policy.
The actions open an administrative process for public nominations and subsequent board consideration for naming rights or dedications in accordance with CW (LOCAL).
