During the Feb. 9 meeting, routine reports included a delinquent tax collection update and campus reports. Richard Brand of Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson, LLP reported that Savoy ISD received $3,498.78 in delinquent tax collections. Elementary Principal Danny Henderson told the board a new playground is scheduled for installation on Feb. 23.
Superintendent Mr. Talley reviewed calendar items and deadlines: filing a place on the ballot runs Jan. 14–Feb. 13, 2026; a pep rally is scheduled for Feb. 10 at 2 p.m.; future board meetings are set for March 2 and April 13 at 7 p.m. The board also received the results of the Fannin Central Appraisal District Board of Directors election and information about basketball passes.
