Board member Linda Duncan moved to adopt the SHAC report and appoint the council membership; Ben Amador seconded the motion, and the vote was unanimous. The agenda cited Texas Education Code Chapter 28, Section 28.004, which requires boards to appoint at least five members and to receive an annual written report on SHAC recommendations and activities.
Board discussion focused on meeting statutory membership requirements and ensuring a majority of appointed members are Seguin ISD parents who are not district employees.
