After meeting in executive session under Texas Government Code 551.074, the Savoy ISD Board reconvened Feb. 9 and approved multiple personnel contract actions.
The board reconvened at 9:06 p.m. and voted to extend Danny Henderson’s term contract by one year (motion by Drew Saltzman, second by Joe Gilbert), extend Rory Hilliard’s term contract by one year (motion by Jeff Francis, second by Mike Bomar), and extend Denise Pugh’s term contract by one year (motion by Sandy Petree, second by Joe Gilbert). The board also issued Rapee Sritairat a non-Chapter 21 contract for one year effective for the 2026–27 school year (motion by Mike Bomar, second by Joe Gilbert). Each motion carried by recorded roll call with one absence and an abstention noted as a conflict for Jeff Francis.
The minutes do not provide the contract terms (salaries, effective dates beyond the school year label) or discuss alternative candidates; implementation and contract paperwork were not included in the public minutes and will be handled by administration.
