Board honors students, coaches and teachers for UIL, debate and classroom achievements
Summary
Trustees recognized month-by-month student winners, a Crystal Apple staff award recipient and multiple UIL, debate and district competition successes across elementary, middle and high school campuses.
The board paused to recognize student and staff achievements across campuses. Trustees and principals presented student-of-the-month awards for December and January, identifying students from kindergarten through upper grades; staff introduced the elementary Crystal Apple award winner, Whitney Kiel, for exemplary teaching and relationships with students.
Staff also noted several extracurricular accomplishments: debate competitors advancing to regional contests, UIL academic and music entries heading to state-level events, and middle-school boys’ basketball district championships. Principals urged the community to celebrate these accomplishments and support upcoming events such as district debate (March) and athletic tournaments.
