County staff told the court they recommend accepting newly constructed roads and associated stormwater drainage improvements in multiple subdivisions so the county can assume long-term maintenance.
Commissioners approved acceptance of Stargazer Road in Johnson Ranch South Unit 7 and a larger set of sections in 4 S Ranch and Mustang Vista phases that staff said together represent about 4.8 miles of new county roads. The court also approved release of listed irrevocable standby letters of credit (sureties) and directed the county engineer to execute the required PIPRO permits.
Staff noted the county's recent acquisition of a milling machine and said it will be useful for ongoing maintenance operations as new lane miles are added to the system.
