At its Dec. 10 meeting the Dixon City Planning Commission recorded two formal actions of note:
1) Northeast Quadrant specific plan amendment (Item 9.1): The commission moved, seconded and voted unanimously to recommend the City Council adopt an addendum to the Northeast Quadrant specific plan EIR and approve amendments re-designating a 37.5-acre parcel on Pedrick Road as general industrial (motion moved by Commissioner Davis). This action is a recommendation to council and not a final entitlement.
2) Arco service station (Item 10): The commission conditionally approved design review and a conditional use permit for a proposed Arco station at 100 East H Street (PA23-25 / DR23-08 / UP23-05). The commission amended the resolution to include four additional alcohol-related conditions from a staff memo and voted 4'to'2 in favor; Commissioners Davis, Diaz, Drayton and Chair Eric Caldwell voted yes; Commissioners Cooley and Vice Chair Hernandez Covello voted no. Staff noted the appeal period for the Arco approval ends Dec. 20, 2024.
Both items include follow-up steps: the NESP amendment will be scheduled for City Council consideration; the Arco approval is subject to the appeal period and to the permit conditions listed in the staff packet and memo.
