The Tisbury Finance & Advisory Committee voted unanimously March 25 to recommend a $5,000 FY27 Clean Harbor pumpout grant match and to note a related $45,000 prior‑years grant‑match item for the Annual Town Meeting warrant.
Harbormaster Michael Gately attended the meeting for the Harbor Department and the committee reviewed a revised waterways spending plan that eliminated a technology fee and reduced dredging by $7,000. The committee was told the Town Finance Director and auditors had reported that the grant match had carried a deficit since 2019; FinCom recorded that Harbor Department records on gallons, wages and hours supported the department’s accounting for pumpout activity. "Melinda Loberg moved to accept the following late filed articles: - WATERWAYS CLEAN HARBOR GRANT MATCH ($5,000)" was recorded in the minutes and the motion passed 5–0.
FinCom members expressed that the $45,000 combined prior‑years total was large enough to merit separate attention on the warrant and recommended the $5,000 match as presented. The committee’s recommendation will appear in the ATM materials and votes will be published with the warrant.
