At the July 1 meeting the Borough Council approved an application to hold a 19th Avenue block party, following a request from residents Joann O'Shea and Molly Pfieffer. The applicants requested to borrow cones and barricades from the Department of Public Works; Police Chief Scott raised no issues with the event. Councilman Douglas Witte offered the motion to approve and Councilwoman Hawley Scull seconded it.
The motion passed on a roll-call vote with Yes votes from Councilmembers Witte, Scull, DeMauro, Ventrice and Albala-Doyle; Councilman Christopher D'Antuono was absent. The minutes note that DPW will provide cones and barricades on request; no additional conditions or fees were recorded.
