Council approves McCann's Tavern renewal, tables Salty’s Beach Bar renewal for paperwork

The Alcoholic Beverage Control segment of the June 17 meeting considered two license renewals. William Epp appeared for MacTav Inc., doing business as McCann’s Tavern. Capt. Campbell reported no issues with the establishment; Mayor Higgins said the tavern may have one of two doors open on busy nights provided "one door is closed to control noise." The council approved the renewal by unanimous roll-call vote.
Michelle Fontanez appeared for Salty’s Beach Bar. Borough Attorney Peg Schaffer told the council that Ms. Fontanez must amend the application to indicate it is an inactive license and update the address on file before the council can approve the renewal. The council tabled the resolution until the required paperwork is filed.
