"The city said they're willing to start waiving permitting fees," a staff member told trustees, adding that the arrangement was intended as a step toward joint cooperation on shared uses and events. Staff said the city still has standard pass-through fees for some surveying and civil-engineering items that the district will handle through consultants.
Trustees were told permitting has been submitted and that restroom work could begin once permits and any short remaining approvals are cleared; staff emphasized they are coordinating with the city and will return with final pricing where needed.
