GUNTER ISD honors students and names campus Teacher(s) of the Year
Summary
The board recognized March students of the month across elementary grades and presented campus Teachers of the Year; winners will be nominated for Region 10 competition and campus leaders praised nominees' classroom and extracurricular contributions.
Trustees and administrators used the meeting to present student-of-the-month awards and to honor campus Teachers of the Year. Speaker 2 introduced winners in kindergarten through fifth grade — including Harper Wilson, Paxton Watson, Bailey Weatherton and McKinley Gibbs — and called the honorees "the spirit of being a true Gunner Tiger."
Campus leaders and teachers described the honorees' classroom contributions and extracurricular support. Speaker 9 highlighted extracurricular successes, noting regional athletic and UIL advances and thanking the GIV Foundation for scholarships supporting seniors. Board members said the district will nominate its awardees to Region 10 competitions and will continue community celebrations at upcoming events.
