Superintendent highlights Safety City program, AP successes and summer school plans

In the Superintendent’s Report the board heard that Safety City served about 30 children, Deputy Rollins will plan next year’s sessions, several students scored 3+ on AP Chemistry and AP Physics, and summer school runs July 21–Aug. 14.
During the Superintendent’s Report the board noted the district’s Safety City program reached approximately 30 children and covered stranger danger, 911 use, water safety, bike safety, fire safety and bus safety. The minutes state Deputy Rollins is planning next year’s sessions and thanked volunteers and speakers who ran the program.
The report also noted strong AP exam results: several AP Chemistry students scored 3 or higher, several students scored 3+ in AP Physics and one student earned a 5 on the AP Biology exam without taking the AP Biology course. The district confirmed summer school will run July 21 through August 14, 2025. Operations items included a repaired pool filter and painting work by Leidel near the high school cafeteria.
