Snyder ISD names Teachers, Paraprofessionals and Staff of the Year

At its June 9 meeting Snyder ISD honored staff across campuses: Barbara Emerson and Arthur Martin were recognized among auxiliaries; Brandi McMahand and Bailey Bailey were named Teachers of the Year; Madison Perry and Lupe Chavez were Paraprofessionals of the Year; Cinthia Solis and Tommy Duncan received professional honors.
Snyder ISD recognized multiple staff members for the 2025–26 year at the June 9 board meeting. Awards announced included Auxiliary of the Year (Barbara Emerson, Snyder Primary School; Arthur Martin, district), Paraprofessional of the Year (Madison Perry, Snyder Intermediate; Lupe Chavez, Snyder Junior High), Teacher of the Year (Brandi McMahand, Snyder Intermediate; Bailey Bailey, Snyder High) and Professional of the Year (Cinthia Solis, Snyder Intermediate; Tommy Duncan, Snyder Junior High Assistant Principal).
The board presented the recognitions as part of the opening agenda items. Trustees noted the contributions of custodians, maintenance, technology, cafeteria workers, security specialists and bus drivers in the Auxiliary of the Year category and congratulated named individuals for campus and district roles.
