Trustees also approved missed‑school waivers covering Jan. 26–28, 2026 (severe weather) and May 14, 2026 (water outage). The motions were moved and seconded (low attendance motion by Ralph Ramon; missed days motion by Haley Leatherwood, seconded by Chad Arnwine) and the minutes record unanimous Yeas among the recorded voters.
Administration said it is exploring backup options at the Junior High to reduce future disruptions and protect instructional minutes. The district will submit the waivers to TEA for review.
