The Sinton Independent School District Board of Trustees opened its October meeting by recognizing Students of the Month from each campus and honoring school principals during Principal Appreciation Month.
Students named included Mailia Vela and Leovonni Franco at Welder Elementary; Maliah Bess and Kason Ledesma at Sinton Elementary; Jaelynn Perez and Declan Raven at Smith Middle School; and Evin Hamlyn and Daniel Whitehead at Sinton High School. The board also presented the Pirate Award to Audra Troutman of Sinton High School and congratulated the band and athletics programs for recent competition results and playoff activity.
The recognition segment was presented early in the meeting as routine district acknowledgments tied to campus reporting. No board action was required for the recognitions.
