At its April 15 meeting, the Tisbury Finance and Advisory Committee approved a Department of Public Works request to withdraw $35,068.37 from the FY26 Reserve Fund to cover snow-and-ice emergency expenditures.
The motion was made by Alex Meleney and seconded by Melinda Loberg; the committee recorded a unanimous vote: seven ayes, zero nays. The minutes note that Governor Maura Healey had applied for FEMA funds to offset blizzard expenses but cautioned FEMA reimbursement is unpredictable and requires detailed documentation of labor, hours and equipment. The minutes record the motion text: "THE TISBURY FINANCE AND ADVISORY COMMITTEE APPROVE THE WITHDRAWAL OF $35,068.37 FROM THE RESERVE FUND FOR SNOW AND ICE REMOVAL EMERGENCY EXPENDITURE AT THE REQUEST OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS."
