Silverton ISD swears in new trustee, approves consent agenda including tax and investment reports

At the Sept. 15, 2025 regular meeting, the Silverton Independent School District Board of Trustees formally swore in newly appointed trustee Josh Gordon; the oath was administered by Isabel Colunga, Notary Public for the State of Texas. The roll of members present was read and Cooper Cogdell’s arrival was noted in the minutes (arrived 6:08 p.m.).
Following the swearing-in, the board approved the consent agenda on a motion by Zack Burson, seconded by Molly Forman. The consent items approved were: (A) approval of minutes of the regular and special August meetings; (B) Tax Assessor-Collector’s Report; (C) Business Office Report; (D) Quarterly Investment Report; and (E) payment of all due bills. The minutes record that the motion passed with yea votes from the trustees listed in the meeting record.
The minutes do not record additional discussion or details about the financial reports in the consent agenda beyond their inclusion and approval.
