The Tisbury FinCom moved March 19 to recommend a package of Water Works operating and capital articles and several smaller capital purchases.
Allan Rogers moved to recommend the Water Works operating budget of $2,696,529 and associated capital items: $725,000 for water main improvements; $120,000 for well rehabilitation; $110,000 for a vehicle-vac trailer; and $30,000 for leak detection equipment. Rachel Orr seconded; the motion passed unanimously, 7–0.
Separately, the committee recommended $29,000 for assessor recording equipment as presented, and recommended other small-amount articles including a $7,500 appropriation for the Vineyard Haven Cultural District and a $120,000 local drop-off site. The FinCom requested clarifying documentation — for example opening schedules for the drop-off site and implementation plans for Water Works projects — prior to Annual Town Meeting.
