Evan Hiester said a Planning & Zoning committee will review transient vendor fee schedules from other municipalities and bring recommendations to the Planning Commission on Dec. 20, 2024. Council discussed creating an application for farmers-market vendors and scheduling a staff meeting to advance a proposed Farmer’s Market.
Hiester reported Jenn Dettinger is compiling cost estimates and researching grants for a 2025 Beautification Initiative—plantings at the Leo Center, Boundary Avenue/entry to Fairmount Park and the Veterans Memorial were identified as candidate locations. Evan proposed donated recycled-plastic benches be placed along the Red Lion Mile; Tony Musso cautioned donors they should be anchored and removed if benches attract vagrancy or vandalism.
