Sonora ISD honors teachers and staff of the month; Coach Dukes recognized for 55 years in education

Heather Cearley, elementary principal, presented Pre‑K teacher Sara Regeon as teacher of the month and Lizette Lira as elementary staff of the month. Cearley praised their teamwork and "expressed her gratitude to them for all they do."
At the secondary level, Alex Sanchez recognized Coach Dukes—who teaches physics and computer science and was noted for 55 years in education—and paraprofessional Susan Trujillo, who was recognized for 22 years in education and for extensive one‑on‑one student work. Trustees thanked the honorees for their service to Sonora ISD.
