The Sonora ISD board recognized staff members from both campuses during its March 26, 2026 meeting.
Elementary Principal Heather Cearley presented Staff of the Month honors to Jessica Luckie, a second‑grade science and social studies teacher noted for hands‑on lessons and classroom management, and Tiffany Weston, an elementary PE coach who also coaches at the high school. Secondary Principal Christina Rodriguez recognized Leandra Reed, a U.S. history teacher and head volleyball coach, and Felicia Van Winkle, the secondary campus secretary who also serves as a part‑time nurse when needed. Board President Shanna Petty‑Castro said, "Thank you for everything."
