Red Lion council reappoints firms, fills boards and approves zoning hearing appointments
Summary
At the organizational meeting the council reappointed legal and engineering firms, confirmed members to boards and commissions and adopted two resolutions appointing members to the Zoning Hearing Board. One councilor recorded opposition to several reappointments.
Following leadership elections, council considered appointments and reappointments for 2026. Ms. Barley moved to reappoint Scott Kopp to the vacancy board; Mr. Holloway seconded and the motion carried. The council reappointed Craley Law firm as borough solicitor for 2026 and moved to reappoint CS Davidson as the borough engineer; Mr. Klinedinst opposed the CS Davidson motion but it carried.
Council also reappointed Becky Gibney and Frank Burke to the Recreation Committee and reappointed Kelly Henshaw to the Red Lion Municipal Authority. Ms. Barley moved to appoint Ms. Poole as the borough’s representative to the York Area Earned Income Tax Bureau with Amanda Runkle as alternate; the motion carried. The council approved Resolution 2026-1 appointing Bruce G. Stegman to the Zoning Hearing Board and Resolution 2026-2 appointing Stephanie Weaver as an alternate to that board; Mr. Klinedinst again opposed Weaver’s appointment, stating concerns about her commitment, but the motion carried.
