Lockport council shifts regular meetings to 1st and 3rd Wednesdays

The Lockport Common Council approved a resolution on Oct. 23 changing its regular meeting schedule to the first and third Wednesdays of each month, effective immediately.
Alderman Fogle introduced Resolution 102324.3 and Alderman Lupo seconded; the measure was adopted with five ayes. The resolution lists the next meetings as Nov. 6 and Nov. 20, and Dec. 4 and Dec. 18, 2024, and directs the City Clerk to notify council members and post the change in accordance with the Open Meetings Act.
Council members said the new schedule "will better serve the needs of the council and the community," according to the resolution language. The change takes effect for the November schedule beginning Nov. 6, 2024.
