The board approved a contract exceeding $25,000 to repair the floor adjacent to the St. Helena High School cafeteria. Chief Business Official Dr. Kay Vang presented the proposal, specifying the work is not for the kitchen itself but for the floor area adjacent to it.
The motion to approve the contract was made by Trustee Lisa Pelosi and seconded by Trustee Shawn Moura. The board recorded a unanimous vote in favor. Dr. Vang noted the item was brought forward during the business operations portion of the agenda as a contract over the $25,000 threshold requiring board approval.
District staff will proceed with contracting and scheduling the repair work and will report back to the board on timelines and budget reconciliation as the project advances.
