Interns urge Glynn County to pilot AI, improve staff retention and boost youth engagement
Summary

During the presentation, interns proposed concrete steps for the next strategic plan: pilot artificial‑intelligence tools for routine tasks, test an integrated team chat or dashboard for county‑wide daily updates, and launch a resident technology survey to learn which platforms younger residents use.
“I know a lot of people are weary, and they think it’s not that good... But I promise if you get skilled at it, it can benefit you so much,” intern Cohen Coolidge said about AI. The interns also recommended focusing recruitment and retention strategies for the county’s roughly 1,000 employees and tailoring outreach to younger adults (ages roughly 20–30) rather than only relying on Facebook.
