Transit receives $62,300 increase in specialized transportation award

Trumbull County staff notified commissioners of an increase to a Department of Transportation Specialized Transportation Program award. The grant increase of $62,300 raises the total award to $312,700 for use between July 1, 2026, and June 30, 2027; transit staff said they were following up to get the amended budget into the county's papers so the funds can be budgeted.
"This is just to follow-up with the submission of the budget for the increased grant funds that we that was announced last week... so this is just to get that budget on there," a transit official told the board. Commissioners acknowledged the signed paperwork and asked staff to place the amendment in the packet.
