The motion to approve the purchase was made by Treasurer Chris Just and seconded by Member Kay Jordan; the roll call vote was unanimous.
Board members and administrators discussed the practical benefits for student transportation and extracurricular activities. Member Jordan noted the new vehicle could also help address transportation concerns raised in a possible interdistrict sports co-op, a topic the board discussed later in the meeting.
The bus purchase is recorded in the board packet and will be processed through the district's transportation fund account; staff indicated standard procurement and reimbursement procedures will follow.
